How We Share Information
We share personal information only as needed to run the Service, with your direction, or as required by law.
- With match candidates and matches: we may share your name and email with users you are shown or who are shown to you as match candidates, including early previews for participants who unlock additional candidates through sharing. When final matches are released, matched participants receive each other's contact information (name and email). - Legal disclosures: where required by law, legal process, or to protect rights/safety/security.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction.
- Aggregated/de-identified outputs: we may publish community-level or research insights that do not reasonably identify you.
Security Practices
We implement technical and organizational controls designed to protect information, including:
- encryption in transit (TLS),
- encryption at rest,
- internal anonymized unique identifiers for matching workflows,
- matching computation on anonymized datasets,
- transient re-linking of identity only when needed to deliver match notifications.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Data Retention
- We retain personal information until deletion is requested, unless a different period is required by law.
- Retention may be long-term to support research, quality improvement, and historical analysis.
- Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained indefinitely.

You may request to:
- withdraw before final matching (if timing allows),
- delete your data from active systems,

If you believe we collected personal information from a child under 13, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
